Parental supervision

Using our easy to use dashboard, you can remotely supervise the website traffic of a chaperoned device. No, you cannot spy on what is happening, but just keep a watchful eye on which websites are being visited.

You can allow or block specific websites on specific devices when ever needed. We pre-configure the system for – Adults, Teens, Kids

How can I trust InternetChaperone?

We use industry standard VPN technology to ensure that encrypted data flows from your device to your personlized server. We have our own iOS app. Data is automatically deleted in 7 days and we never sell data as called out in our agreement.

How can I trust WireGuard?

For platforms other than iOS we use WireGuard which is an industry standard cryptographic tunnel built for fast and safe communication. The implementation of the same technology is used by over 300 VPN providers including NordVPN, Express VPN etc and used by millions of users.

How is my data used and do you store or sell it?

We only only look a the domain (i.e. the part before ‘.com’) to ensure that only allowed sites are visited on the device. This data (site name and device name) is only for your review and is automatically deleted on 7th day.

Send us an email and we will share the Private key generated exclusively for you. Once you have that, download “Wiregaurd VPN for iOS, Android, Windows and others on the devices that you want to keep safe (kid’s device) and on the device you will use to monitor and configure (parent’s device).
From WireGuard app, select add tunnel -> create from QR code and scan the QR code that we have sent you via email. Best to use different Private keys for different devices (no extra cost).

Unlike many other serivces that run generic algorithms for everyone, we create a server exclusively for your household. So there is no cross contamination of data. Other’s choices for blocking or un-blocking never interfere with your household choices. Data from each device is maintained separately.

No, we use wireguard to filter your requests according to your preferences. If you want to have a Personal VPN, please contact us and we can set it up for you in your own home. No dependency on any external provider.

Google’s business model is based on advertisement and tracking. They will never adblock themselves to bankrupcy. Also, they use the profiles that can be easily spoofed. Google blocks some generic offensive sites, but that does not address personal needs of each household. Here you control what happens in each device of your household based on your changing needs. We believe, Google (and other big tech) initiatives are a PR campaign and not a real attempt towards internet safety.

Yes. There are different profiles – Adults, Kids, Teens (and you can create more if you feel like). The blocking of sites can be generic (for all) or can be for a specific profile.

Mom’s device – No restrictions other than the 4 million scamming, gambling and inappropriate domains (but exceptions can be made)
Dad has the same set up as Mom’s, except he cannot visit LCBO online and can access OLG.ca (which no one else can access in the house).
15 years old Alice has Social media access but Mom restricts it during exam days. Helps with the studies.
